Freddie Gray: Criminal Charges To Be Filed, Death Ruled Homicide
Freddie Gray investigation yields charges, Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby says.

A Baltimore police officer will be charged with murder in the case of Freddie Gray, whose death while in police custody set off days of tense protests and a night of rioting, and five other officers will face lesser charges, authorities announced Friday.
Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby said the medical examiner determined the death of 25-year-old Gray was a homicide.
All six officers involved in Gray’s arrest on April 12—for which Mosby said there were no grounds—have been charged.

Mosby went through the process of Gray’s arrest and subsequent death. To begin with, Mosby said, Gray should not have been arrested in the first place.
Officers “failed to establish probable cause, as no crime had been committed by Mr. Gray,” Mosby said.
He was “illegally arrested,” Mosby said.
As for the six officers, she said a warrant has been issued for their arrest after charges were filed at 9:30 a.m. Friday. The National Guard poured into the area of North at Pennsylvania avenues as the announcement of charges was made.
By Friday evening, all six officers had been taken into custody. Bail was set at $350,000 for Goodson, Porter, Rice and White, while bail was $250,000 for Miller and Nero, according to Fox 45.
