Baltimore Students To Learn The Basics Of Developing Mobile Apps This Weekend

AT&T, Local Nonprofits to Team Up to Offer App Development, Digital Literacy Training to Baltimore Students This Weekend

Volunteers from AT&T, including two Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) award winners, are teaming up with the Center for Supportive Schools (CSS), Thread, Inc. and Foundation for Educational Development, on Saturday to introduce Baltimore high school students to mobile applications development and provide digital literacy training as part of AT&T’s Digital Youinitiative.

The workshop is designed to help empower young people in the City of Baltimore by introducing them to the skills, expertise and experiences they will need to succeed in the digital economy and is another example of the company’s ongoing efforts to introduce students in Baltimore and nationwide to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines.

The workshop will take place at Morgan State University.
