Family Day with the Dog

A fun and exciting afternoon for dogs and people at the Good Doggie Daycare in Woodberry/Hampden.

My English Springer Spaniel, Starscream, is two years old and overflowing with excitement and energy.  My fiance and I both work full-time and felt guilty about leaving our furry little friend at home all day.  We had boarded Starscream at several facilities in Baltimore, but were not satisfied with our experience and they did not offer the immersive daycare experience we were looking for.

This past January we found Good Doggie Daycare (3500 Ash St., Baltimore - www.gooddoggiedaycare.com), a facility run by JoAnna Garrett and located right by our apartment in Woodberry/Hampden.  A place like none other, we had to bring Starscream for a several stage interview process to prove that he had the right personality and disposition to attend the program.  After he was accepted, we bring him three or so times per week, and, occasionally, allow him to sleepover with his friends.

Today, we brought Starscream to the Family Fun day.  There was food for the people and treats with the dogs, and we got to meet all of our canine's playmates.  Further, we got to meet all of the dog's "parents" (as they are referred to by the staff).  Certainly a fun way to spend our Sunday afternoon!
