This Wednesday evening, June the 13th, Homestead Street at Old York Road, was the scene of a lively little party inside and outside Waverly Ace Hardware Store, the old nicely restored former Waverly Post Office.
Villagers bought items at huge discounts, nibbled on cheese, entered raffles, sampled homemade soda from a new product designed to create your own fizzling beverages, got advise on flower arranging, garden planting and generally visited with folks from all over North Baltimore.
Ace is doing well and is full of neat urban living items as well as the old reliable standards. At last count, close to 100 residents had shown up for the gathering.
