BRAINSTORM "Battle of the Bands" Concert Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Awareness Scheduled June 21 at Middle Branch Park
25 bands to donate their time and talent for this Longest Day® celebration
LUTHERVILLE, Md. – People across the globe will mark the summer solstice by participating in The Longest Day® – an annual sunrise-to-sunset team event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.
Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter board members, Jon Price (portfolio manager at Brown Advisory) and David Wooding (vice president at Essex Bank) on “Team Brainstorm” have arranged for a one-of-a-kind concert to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association and show that Maryland “Rocks!”

Approximately 25 local bands will donate their time and talent for BRAINSTORM: A Free Concert on the Longest Day, taking place Sunday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Middle Branch Park (3301 Waterview Ave., 21230).
The family-friendly Father’s Day concert will feature a mix of solo acoustic guitarists, singer-songwriters and blues, classic rock, Americana, alternative rock, jazz and heavy metal acts performing in a “Battle of the Bands” competition to raise the most funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

To date, the performers are as follows: Billy Earl & The Pink Flamingoes, Kenny Knopp & The Miles River Band, Off The Grid, Bulldog Trixx, Sean Pietras & The Assembly, Intentional Trainwreck, Chris Diller, Bruce Lukoskie, The Gnar Dogs, Radio Edi, Emma Myers, Arson’s Harbor, Asa Kurland, The Shakes, Dali’s Watch, The Aughts, Slow Lights and The Walking Sticks.
Headliner will be Bosley Brown & His Fabulous Band, which was voted “Hippest Act in Baltimore” by Baltimore Magazine. Brown lost his grandfather to Alzheimer’s disease and performing in this concert is especially meaningful to him.
