Camden Yards Ticket Booth Blaze Causes $15K in Damage: Fire Marshal

The Office of the State Fire Marshal reports investigators are reviewing surveillance video to identify persons of interest.

The Baltimore City Fire Marshal and the Office of the State Fire Marshal are investigating a fire at a Camden Yards ticket booth over the weekend that officials say caused $15,000 in damage.

At 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, items inside the ticket drawer were ignited behind window 15 at Camden Yards, according to the fire marshal.

Surveillance footage showed four “persons of interest” who were in the area when the fire started and were seen running away as light from the flames appeared on camera, the state fire marshal reported.

Baltimore City Fire Department personnel responded and brought the small fire under control in short order, according to the report.

The ticket booth was damaged by smoke and soot, and the drawer and speaker system were distorted by the fire as well, according to the report. Officials estimated the incident caused a $15,000 loss.

Investigators say they are reviewing video footage to identify the persons of interest.
