Ciclovia V Expanding
The event will now be a three-mile course between Northern Parkway and Druid Hill Park.

The just keeps growing.
On May 5 Ciclovia V, which started out as a Roland Park centric event, will be expanding throughout North Baltimore.
The previous ciclovias have involved closing Roland Avenue to motor vehicles between Northern Parkway and Cold Spring Lane. This allowed cyclists and pedestrians to enjoy walking back and forth. The event has even involved music performances and food.

But this May Ciclovia V will include closing Roland Avenue as far south as W. University Parkway, as well as closing portions of Tudor Arms Avenue, Beech Avenue and Wyman Park Drive to create a three mile course from Northern Parkway to Druid Hill Park, according to the event’s website.
There will also be events at the including live music, bike decorating workshops and a raffle. All proceeds of that event will go to rehabbing the Roland Water Tower.

According to the website, more than 1,000 people have participated in the last four ciclovias.
