Escaped Convict Found, State Corrections Officials Say

Officials say Kenneth Michael Sullivan is back in police custody.

UPDATE—A man who escaped from a Baltimore correctional facility was found at a local hospital with a broken bone, according to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Kenneth Michael Sullivan, who was last seen at 10 p.m. on Monday, was found Tuesday at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore, the department reported Tuesday afternoon.

He was being treated for a broken leg that he is believed to have gotten during his escape from the facility downtown, according to the report.

Baltimore Police provided the tip that led state corrections officers to the hospital, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Once located, Sullivan was taken to shock trauma and will be returned to the correctional division upon his release, state officials reported.

For his escape, Sullivan may be sentenced to up to 10 years, according to The Baltimore Sun.

A Baltimore County man serving almost ten years for robbery, who is also a registered sex offender, has disappeared from a correctional facility, according to the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Kenneth Michael Sullivan, 34, was last seen at theMetropolitan Transition Center in Baltimore at 10 p.m. Monday, corrections officials said in a statement Tuesday morning.

Police have been searching for Sullivan, whose last known address is in the 12000 block of Eastern Avenue in Middle River, but have not been able to locate him, according to the statement.

Sullivan is described as 5’10” tall, 190 pounds, with green eyes, bald head, a beard and tattoo on the left side of his neck, the statement said.

He was serving a nine-year, two-month sentence for robbery when he disappeared from the Metropolitan Transition Center in the 900 block of Forrest Street in Baltimore Monday night, according to the statement.

Officials say anyone who sees Kenneth Michael Sullivan should call 911.
