David Applefeld Reappointed ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Subcommittee Co-Chair

Accomplished attorney is a frequent speaker and author on insurance law, construction law and litigation topics

BALTIMORE - David B. Applefeld, Litigation Section chair of Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC, has been re-appointed for a third term as co-chair of the Construction Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee (ICLC).

Applefeld, who also is a member of the ABA’s Tort and Insurance Practice Section (Product, General Liability and Construction Law Committee) and Forum on the Construction Industry, brings more than 24 years of industry experience.

He has litigated construction defect claims, insurance coverage claims, architectural and engineering professional negligence claims and business disputes in all levels of state and federal courts, before administrative agencies and before the American Arbitration Association.

A frequent speaker and author on insurance law, construction law and litigation topics, Applefeld serves as national panel trial counsel and special litigation counsel for several companies and insurers.

He also is active in the Maryland State Bar Association, Bar Association of Baltimore City, Baltimore County Bar Association, Home Builders Association of Maryland and NAIOP Maryland, and serves on the board of the International Dyslexia Association, Maryland Branch, Inc.

Throughout his career, he has earned numerous industry awards including being named in Outstanding Lawyers of America and Maryland’s Legal Elite, and being named a Maryland Super Lawyer every year since 2007.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire, Applefeld earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore, School of Law.
