Driving Ban Lifted on Baltimore City Roads: Mayor
City officials temporarily limited travel on Baltimore City roads to authorized emergency vehicles only.

UPDATE: As of 6 a.m. on Sunday, drivers were allowed to return to the roads in Baltimore City.
However, emergency officials advised road conditions were not good and drivers should only go out if absolutely necessary.
BALTIMORE, MD – As visibilities have decreased and snow increased, Baltimore City restricted road travel to authorized emergency vehicles only, at least through Sunday morning.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has implemented Phase III of Baltimore City’s Snow Emergency Plan as of 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016.
Police vehicles, fire apparatus, ambulances, snow plows and BGE emergency response vehicles are the only ones allowed on the roads during this time.

City officials are asking hospitals to keep their staff on during this phase of the snowstorm, which Baltimore has designated as “Phase III.”
Phase III will expire at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, but may be extended based on conditions.
