Botanical Illustration Series

Instructor Molly Hoopes, who studied Botanical Illustration at Gage Academy and at Brookside Gardens School of Botanical Art and Illustration, is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists.Instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises will guide you through a variety of traditional watercolor techniques, including graded wash, wet on wet, wet in wet and  drybrush.  Learn about color theory, composition and plant anatomy as you improve your drawing skills and create detailed portraits of the local flowers and berries of late summer/ early autumn.  Classes will be held downstairs in the mansion. Students are responsibel for supplies. Cost of session series of 5 classes:  Members:  $150;  Non-members:
