Loyola University Maryland celebrates National French Week

Loyola University Maryland and its department of modern languages and literatures will celebrate National French Week with numerous events focused on Belgium and its culture. Today there will be a keynote address by Bernard A. Cook, Ph.D., Provost Distinguished Professor of History at Loyola University New Orleans, entitled “Belgium: How Can Such a Small Country Be So Complicated?” The talk will examine the current political crisis in Belgium and its historical and cultural roots. The event will be held in the 4th Floor Program Room in the Andrew White Student Center.
