Noted Presidential Campaign Manager and Journalist Donna Brazile to Speak on the State of Politics in the U.S. at the Y of Central Maryland
On Friday, February 10, 2012, Donna Brazile, veteran democratic political strategist, adjunct professor, author, syndicated columnist and television political commentator, will speak at the Weinberg Family Center Y to discuss “Inspiring Civility in the National Political Discourse.”
A political visionary, Brazile has worked on every presidential campaign from 1976 to 2000, when she served as campaign manager for former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. She is also the first African-American woman to manage a presidential campaign.

Brazile’s speech will touch on civility for our leaders, our relationships, our communities and our selves. Following the presentation, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.

Brazile’s presentation, “Inspiring Civility in the National Political Discourse” is part of the Y’s annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This event is open to the public. Space is limited and the ticket price includes a lite fare breakfast. Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.ymaryland.org. Proceeds benefit Y programs for vulnerable urban youth.
