It's All in Your Head: The impact of addiction on family brain chemistry

Presented by: Ashley's Director of Family Services, Dr. Kristine Hitchens, Ph.D., LCSW-C, LCADC, CCDC

The Seasons of Recovery Workshop Series are free educational workshops held in multiple regions designed to support extended recovery and educate attendees on sustained recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction.

In this workshop Dr. Hitchens will discuss the neurobiology of addiction and how constant stress affects the mental functioning of family members and children. She will provide insight on how to correct these patterns and calm the brain down.

She holds a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College, Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, a master’s degree in social work from Widener University and a B.A. in psychology from Wesley College. Her licenses are LCSW-C and LCADC, with a CCDC certification.

This is a free event open to all. For more info or to RSVP please contact the Alumni Department at 410.273.2303 or alumni@fmashley.com.
