Friends Girls Advance In IAAM B Conference Lacrosse Tournament

Lady Quakers will face St. John's Catholic Prep in semifinal on Thursday.

Six players scored goals to help lift the Friends School girls lacrosse team to a 20-11 win over Seton Keough in IAAM B conference quarterfinal action on Tuesday.

The team advances to the semifinal round of the tournament on Thursday when it hosts St. John’s Catholic Prep, which was victorious, 20-17, over Glenelg Country School in another quarterfinal contest played on Tuesday.

Ella Cooper paced the Lady Quakers with six goals and two assists. Teammates Emma Sissman and Abby Corkum each scored four goals; Sissman added two assists and Corkum one. Other Friends scorers included Rachel Bolan with three goals, Lucy Klein with two and Sarah Wallack with one. Lady Quaker goalie Rose Woolson had 11 saves.

The second-seeded Friends team improved its overall record to 13-3.
