About the Race:
The 2014 Herring Run Around 5k to Benefit Blue Water Baltimore is live! The race will take place Saturday, June 28 in Herring Run Park (3900 Belair Road) in Baltimore, MD and starts at 9 AM.
Race Details:
The first annual Herring Run Around takes place within Herring Run Park and benefits Blue Water Baltimore and it's mission to restore the city’s streams, rivers and harbor. The 5k cross country course in this scenic northeast Baltimore park will make it easy to forget you are in the city. Runners will ramble along meandering streams, majestic forests and broad fields. The mix of easy and challenging running on a nearly equal measure of paved and dirt trails makes this a great race for all levels and ages. The field for this rare opportunity to participate in an organized cross country race in the city is limited to just 200 runners, so sign up early. Race participants will receive a Blue Water Baltimore water bottle.
After the race, you can enjoy a drink and snacks on the house. Stick around for Blue Water Baltimore's volunteer and member picnic or enjoy the park’s many features. The race course will cover both paved and single track trails. Cost is $30.00 and the event is limited to 200 runners.
