Louise Phipps Senft of Baltimore Mediation Wins Top 100 MBE Award
Louise Phipps Senft of Roland Park's Baltimore Mediation wins second Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Louise Phipps Senft, founder of Louise Phipps Senft & Associates/Baltimore Mediation, recently received a Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award for the Mid-Atlantic Region. This is the second Top 100 MBE Award for Senft, who was also honored in 2009.
The award was presented by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler, and MBE Award Founder/Program Director Sharon Pinder during ceremonies hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Minority and Women-Owned Business Development on October 23.
The Top 100 MBE Awards were created to recognize those enterprising women and minority entrepreneurs who fuel the country’s economy through their innovation, sacrifices, and dedication. The awards also celebrate entrepreneurs for their significant and inspiring contributions to their clients, professions, industries and communities.

This year’s winners were selected from hundreds of regional entrepreneurs, who were nominated by chamber associations, professional associations, and other business groups throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
Senft founded Louise Phipps Senft & Associates/Baltimore Mediation, the first private mediation firm in Maryland, in 1993. Since that time, she has become one of the region’s leaders in the field of alternative dispute resolution. Senft has also pioneered the use of transformational and relational approaches to mediation in the United States and abroad.

As a mediator, trainer, and executive coach, Senft has focused on negotiation and personality dynamics in the workplace executive suite and boardroom. A mother of five, she has served on the boards of numerous organizations – from community associations to professional organizations and international non-profits – to advocate for safety, the environment, religious integrity, and women’s rights, among other causes.
