Maryland MEP Hosts 'Cheers To Gears' Event At Tenax Corporation In Baltimore, MD
Networking event at Baltimore-based manufacturer held as part of MD MEP's Make it in Maryland Program
(Columbia, Maryland) – Maryland MEP (MD MEP), a non-profit committed to growing and strengthening Maryland manufacturing, held its Make it in Maryland Program’s September 2015 ‘Cheers to Gears’ event on Tuesday, September 22, at Tenax Corporation’s manufacturing and warehouse facility in Baltimore, Md. Tenax Corp. is the leading manufacturer of plastic fencing and other containment products.
Tuesday’s ‘Cheers to Gears’ event kicked off with a brief networking reception and welcoming remarks from Steve Petrides, President of Tenax Corporation. Following a presentation by Petrides, guests were given a tour of Tenax Corp.’s Baltimore plant. On the tour, guests were shown the ins-and-outs of the plastic fence manufacturer’s facility. More than 30 people attended the event, including some from Maryland manufacturers including Pompeian Olive Oil, Allogram Inc., Fashions Unlimited, Berry Plastics, AstraZeneca, Green Bay Packaging, Motobriiz and Holmatro. Maryland-made food was provided at the event by Mission BBQ.
Created for MD MEP’s Make it in Maryland Program members and open to all Maryland manufacturers, the ‘Cheers to Gears’ events are designed to show the MD MEP’s continued support and appreciation for companies that invest in Maryland. The events are hosted monthly by different Make it in Maryland Program members, with an ultimate goal to provide invested companies with an opportunity to experience new facilities, network with and learn more about their Make It In Maryland counterparts.
