MCVET Hosting 2021 Veterans Day Virtual Run & Walk
Signature event to help Maryland veterans overcome homelessness, addiction and unemployment

BALTIMORE–The Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training, Inc. (MCVET) – the nation’s premier program for helping homeless veterans and veterans in need heal and achieve independence, self-sufficiency and permanent housing – invites the community to commemorate Veterans Day in a meaningful way.
For the second year in a row, the nonprofit’s signature fundraiser will be transformed into a virtual event to coincide with the national holiday. Runners and walkers can operate at their own pace – outside or on a treadmill – alone or with a group of friends, from Nov. 4 through 11:59 p.m. EST on Nov. 11 (Veterans Day) to complete 3.1 miles for the 5K or 6.2 miles for the 10K.
“Having one virtual race under our belts gives us the opportunity to ensure all race registrants have the best experience possible; however, we should never forget the funds raised keeps our unsung heroes from sleeping on the streets of America,” said MCVET Executive Director Jeffery L. Kendrick.
