Meet the Buddhas: An Explanation of Buddhist Artwork

$25 ($20 early registration by Wed. May 7th, Seniors 60+, students, & unemployed)Followed by lunch in the World Peace Cafe

Enlightened beings can display their inner realizations as forms.   Enlightened compassion appears in the form of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, wisdom in the form of Manjushri, love in the form of Maitreya, etc.  Contemplating these exalted forms helps us to increase our faith in enlightened beings, receive their blessings, and eventually to develop the qualities they embody.  For over two and a half thousand years, Buddhists have practiced the art of depicting these holy forms in paintings, statues, and more. Everyone is welcome!
