ABOUT THE ULMAN CANCER FUND
The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, Inc. (“UCF”) is the national leader in providing specialized support for young adults (ages 18-40 years) affected by cancer, including patient navigation services, education, awareness, peer mentoring and support groups. When Doug Ulman was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 19, he and his family were challenged to find resources for young adults, and their families, facing cancer. Frustrated by this void, the Ulman family established UCF in 1997 in Howard County, Maryland, one of the first organizations created to cater to the specific needs of this underserved population.
