Two MTA Vehicles Collide, Injuring at Least 30 People: Officials

The crash happened shortly after 7 a.m., according to Maryland Transit Administration.

The Baltimore City Fire Department was taking dozens to local hospitals Wednesday morning as the result of a bus crash in Baltimore, according to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA).

At 7:12 a.m. on Wednesday, an MTA bus and an MTA mobility vehicle collided at the intersection of North Avenue and McCulloh Street, the MTA reported.

Approximately 30 to 35 people sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to the report.

One person was in serious condition, according to WNEW.

West North Avenue was closed between McCulloh and Eutaw streets, Fox 45 reported.

The MTA said the cause of the crash was not known, and MTA police and the Baltimore City Police Department were investigating.

Bus operators were helping to transport people to the hospital in collaboration with the Baltimore City Fire Department, according to the MTA.
