North Baltimore Crime: Man Attempts to Rob Rite Aid with Scissors

West 40th Street, 700 block, 12:09 p.m. Nov. 2. A would-be robber entered a Rite Aid, put a pair of scissors to the cashier’s back and demanded money. The cashier refused and struggled with the robber, who then tried to run out of the store. Police said they arrested the would-be robber at the scene.
Roland Avenue, 3600 block, between 8 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. Oct. 30. A burglar broke the front glass door of a house, entered, stole a television and left, police said.

West 36th Street, 800 block, between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 30 and Oct. 31. A burglar forced the front door of an apartment open and reportedly stole $695 and an iPod.

Remington Avenue, 3000 block, 7:50 p.m. Oct. 31. Multiple suspects approached a man and began assaulting him, police said. As he fell, the man dropped his bag containing a Dell computer, a digital camera and a Verizon “Mifi” card. Police said one of the robbers picked up the bag and the suspects ran off.
Ilchester Avenue, 300 block, between 11:40 p.m. and 6 a.m., Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. A burglar entered a house through an unlocked rear window, reportedly stole various credit cards and $30, and exited through the basement door.
Guilford Avenue, 3000 block, 9 p.m. Oct 31. A burglar broke the rear kitchen door glass, but ran away when residents came to investigate the noise.
East University Parkway, 300 block, between 2:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 2. A burglar entered the front door and reportedly stole two Mac computers, a TI-83 calculator and a gold watch.
