North Baltimore Crime: Sleeping Resident Robbed at Gunpoint

Greenmount Avenue, 3600 block, 1 a.m., Nov. 6. A robber broke into a home through a rear window with a rock. The robber then woke up the resident at gunpoint and said, “Where’s the money? Don’t move or I’ll shoot you." The robber then put a pillow over the residents face and stole a laptop, TV and two cell phones before running out of the house through the front door.

North Calvert Street, 2900 block, 2:25 p.m., Nov 8. A woman was driving when someone threw a shovel and struck her vehicle on its left side. The person who threw the shovel ran away.

North Charles Street, 5700 block, 2 p.m., Nov. 8. The resident of the house heard a noise outside and went to see what was causing the sound. The resident discovered someone trying to rip the copper gutters from his home. The resident told the person trying to steal the gutters that was going to call the police. The thief ran to a white pick-up truck and drove off.
Greenspring Avenue, 4700 block, 9:30 p.m., Nov. 9. A man had just stepped off a bus when two robbers approached him. One of the robbers grabbed him, demanded money and reached into the man’s pocket and took out $10. One of the robbers then struck the man with a dark colored pistol and both fled west on Cylburn Avenue.
Eastcliff Drive, 6100 block, 6:30 p.m., Nov. 9. A woman returned home from walking her dog and saw a burglar in her house. When the burglar saw the woman he ran out of the front door of the house and into a wooded area.
Chateau Avenue, 500 block, 10:05 p.m., Nov. 11. A group of friends were walking when robbers brandishing handguns approached them. A robber demanded all of their property and one of the men complied. Then the robbery victims began to struggle with the robbers who fled.
Falls Road, 4300 block, 4:55 p.m., Nov. 11. A robber entered the JT Grocery Store, threw a bag of potato chips on the counter, pulled out a black handgun and said, “Give me all the money out of the cash register.” The cashier handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber left the store.
Mathews Street, 2900 block, 5 p.m., Nov. 12. Robbers entered a Jiffy Lube with a silver revolver and demanded an employee open the register. Once the register was open they took money from the register and fled.
