The Rose Group Names Josh Britton as Area Director
Former General Manager will now oversee six Applebee's stores in the Baltimore market
NEWTOWN, Pa. – Aug. 11, 2014 – The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants, is pleased to announce the promotion of Josh Britton to area director. Britton was previously the general manager of the Aberdeen, Md., Applebee’s.
As area director, Britton will be responsible for managing six Applebee’s general managers in the Greater Baltimore area. His primary responsibilities will be planning and directing all facets of restaurant operations, including sales building, guest-focused initiatives and financial oversight through progressive human resource strategies.
“Josh has been a strong leader among our Baltimore Applebee’s employees since he joined The Rose Group in May of 2005,” said David Romanick, area director for Philadelphia County and Central N.J. Applebee’s. Josh has done an outstanding job coordinating The Rose Group’s popular Top Apple Chef Competition for Applebee’s stores and developing many reports and functions. Britton began his career with Applebee’s in 2003 as a line cook at the Padonia, Md., Applebee’s. His ability to produce solid results helped him quickly move his way up from general manager to his current role as area director. In this new role, Britton serves as an integral part in the development and training of future leaders of the Baltimore and Philadelphia markets.
