Subaru of Hunt Valley and Valley Motors Donate $10,610 to Kennedy Krieger Institute

Hunt Valley dealership supports local and national charities through 2014 Subaru "Share The Love" Event

Subaru of Hunt Valley and Valley Motors recently presented a check for $10,610 to Kennedy Krieger Institute. As Subaru of Hunt Valley’s chosen hometown charity, Kennedy Krieger will use the donation to support the children and families of the Institute through research programs and initiatives to prevent and treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system.

This fundraising initiative stemmed from Subaru of Hunt Valley’s continued commitment to The Subaru Love Promise, which is a pledge to give back to the community by partnering with a wide variety of nonprofits and charities.

“We are thrilled to have a partnership with Subaru of America, a likeminded organization that empowers us to achieve a shared goal of giving back through what we do best—selling cars,” said Charles Fenwick, Jr., president of Valley Motors. “This collaboration allows our customers to support Kennedy Krieger, a pillar of the community that Valley Motors is proud to call home, as it strives further researchresearch, as well as treat and educate children with disabilities worldwide.”

“Valley Motors and Subaru of Hunt Valley have been valuable partners in raising community awareness and donations in support of Kennedy Krieger,” said Lainy LeBow-Sachs, executive VP of Kennedy Krieger Institute. “We are thankful to be their chosen hometown charity for such a powerful fundraising event.”

From November 2014 to January 2, 2015, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities, including Kennedy Krieger and Subaru’s national beneficiaries—ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels®, and National Park Foundation—to receive a donation of $250.

With a total of 106 Subaru vehicles sold, Subaru of Hunt Valley and Valley Motors raised $26,500 for environmental, health, community and animal organization efforts through the “Share The Love” Event.
