Saturday, May 17 from 6 to 9pm On Lag b'Omer, Jews customarily eat sandwiches on picnics, light bonfires, and tell stories. The holiday marks a happy day during the 49-day mournful period when Jews count the days between Passover and Shavuot, two harvest festivals, the latter being when Jews received torah at Mt. Sinai. Join us for a Fun Falafel Bar, followed by a Cookies and Ice Cream Bar, and the lighting of an outdoor bonfire, round which our members will regale you with their talents. Find out why we;re happy on this day. A night of food, fun, fire, and joy-filled community. RSVP to info@BeitTikvah.org by Wednesday, May 14.
