William J. McCarthy, Jr., Executive Director of Catholic Charities Baltimore to be honored as the 2014 Baltimore County Good Scout
McCarthy to be honored for his extraordinary community leadership and contributions to improving the quality of life in Baltimore.

The Boy Scouts of America, Baltimore Area Council will honor William J. McCarthy, Jr. as its 2014 recipient of the Baltimore County Good Scout Award. The award is presented to those who exemplify in their daily lives the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America expressed in the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
The event is chaired by Robert T. Cawley, President of RCM&D. The reception will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Maryvale Preparatory School, Erinn McCarthy Humanities Hall in Brooklandville from 6:00 – 8 pm. The Baltimore Area Council serves over 48,000 youth and adult members with over 170,000 service hours completed, 68,897 hours of community service in accumulated Eagle projects, and over 370,000 pounds of food collected as part of the Scouting for Food program.
