Woman Reports Attempted Rape on Edgecombe Circle North
The woman sprayed her attacker with mace, according to police.
A woman reported an attempted rape in the 2500 block of N. Edgecombe Circle on July 1.
The woman was walking home at 1:57 a.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and put her in a chokehold, according to a police report.
She told police that her attacker told her to pull her pants down and she complied. He then tried to rape her but was unable. She then sprayed him with mace and he ran away.
