Assailant Fires Shot into Parked Car

A woman was sitting in a parked car in Winston-Govans when an assailant fired a shot into her car.

The woman’s car was parked in the 500 block of Ready Avenue at 1:10 a.m. on July 15, when someone ran by and fired a handgun through the driver’s side window, according to a police report.

The woman was unharmed and the assailant ran away heading north.
