Blaze Tears Through North Potomac Home: MCFRS

Dozens of firefighters battled a house fire in North Potomac Tuesday evening. Authorities said no one was inside the home at the time.

NORTH POTOMAC, MD — About 75 firefighters battled a blaze that tore through a North Potomac home Tuesday evening, authorities said.

The house fire in the 11300 block of Dunleith Place started in a second-floor bedroom and spread to both the attic and the first floor, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said. A neighbor initially saw the fire and called 911.

No one was home at the time of the fire, which was extinguished that same night, Piringer added.
