On Sunday, March 23, the Fairfax Choral Society will present An Afternoon with Morten Lauridsen at National Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC. The concert will feature the extraordinary choral works of National Medal of Arts recipient Morten Lauridsen, with the composer himself at the piano, as well as a pre-concert lecture by Mr. Lauridsen (at 3:30 pm). Mr. Lauridsen's residency with FCS will also include a choral festival at the Hylton Performing Art Center on Friday, March 21, and a screening of the film Shining Night along with a post-film discussion with Mr. Lauridsen at the Angelika Film Center in the Mosaic District in Fairfax on Saturday, March 22. Advance sale ticket prices for the concert are $25/adults and $15/students. Tickets at the door are $30/adults and $15/students.
