Family Displaced After Fire in North Potomac
The residents were home at the time of the fire but were able to get out safely.
NORTH POTOMAC, MD - A family was displaced after a fire at single-family home in North Potomac Friday.
According to Montgomery County Fire PIO Pete Piringer, the fire originated in the basement and extended to the rest of the two-story home. All six occupants of the home in the 12210 block of Turley Drive were safely removed from the home.
Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire at the scene. One firefighter was injured and evaluated by EMS.

Piringer said the residents who were home at the time of the fire were alerted by smoke alarms. The fire was brought under control in an hour.
