Friday Football Roundup: Playoffs Part I

Undefeated Quince Orchard begins its quest for a state title at home against Bethesda-Chevy Chase.

With last week's 48-0 win over Magruder, Quince Orchard High School completed its second undefeated regular season in the last three years. Tonight against Bethesda Chevy-Chase, the Cougars second season begins.

As the No. 1 seed in the 4A West Region, QO is the favorite to advance to the state semis and looks prime for a second championship under head coach Dave Mencarini.

The Red Army welcomes the Barons to the Cougar Dome at QO tonight at 7 p.m. The match up was nominated by Fox 5 for game of the week, but was edged out by Churchill-Gaithersburg by 3.9 percent.
