Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division have identified the victim in Friday's Silver Spring homicide as 30-year-old Carlton Joseph Graham of Silver Spring.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore has ruled Graham's manner of death as homicide by gunshot wound. At this time, investigators believe this to be an isolated incident.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Friday evening, 3rd District officers responded to the Forest Park Apartment complex in the 9300 block of Piney Branch Road for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and located Graham on the sidewalk, suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. Graham subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.
This remains an active and ongoing homicide investigation and no further details can be confirmed at this time.
