The weather forecast predicts a beautiful weekend ahead for these last few official days of summer. We've compiled a list of some great ways for you and your family to spend it.
Friday:
-- Take the kids to see the Comedy & Mystery Society Magic Show at the Kentlands' Arts Barn. The interactive performance only happens once a month. Tickets are $15 for non-Gaithersburg residents.

-- If you are in the mood to move a little Friday evening, check out the variety of dances at Glen Echo Park. Salsa dancing, Contra dancing, and Argentine Tango and all happening on Friday. Each offer an instructional class for beginners in the first hour and live music to dance along to until midnight (or until your feet get tired).
Saturday:

-- Are you thinking of taking advantage of the good weather to do some gardening this weekend? Get your gardening questions answered by experts at Quince Orchard Library.
-- Visit one of the many Farmers Markets in the area. Stop by Good Life Farm on Rt. 28 to meet Farmers Larry and Laura and learn about their CSA. Visit the Main Street Tailgate Market in the Kentlands to shop a variety of food and craft stands.
Sunday:
-- Cross over to Gaithersburg and help the city celebrate with its 29th annual street festival. From 1-5 p.m. you'll find live bands, dancers, a dog show, a reptile exhibit, and a variety of food and crafts from around the world.
-- Watch local horse riders show off their abilities at the PHC-UPCO Hunter & Jumper Schooling Show Series at the Potomac Horse Center. The event begins at 8a.m. and will finish when each rider is finished.
