Potomac Pool Closed After 2 Suffer From Electric Shock: MCFRS
An adult and child were shocked while in a community swimming pool in North Potomac on Sunday. The pool is temporarily closed.
NORTH POTOMAC, MD — An adult and a child were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after they suffered from an electric shock at a North Potomac community swimming pool, authorities said.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. at Westleigh Recreation Club, located at 14900 Dufief Mill Rd. According to Montgomery County fire and rescue officials, there was an electrical hazard in the water. It is unclear exactly what happened.
Officials say both patients suffered a mild electric shock and were taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The pool at Westleigh Recreation Club is now closed. It is not immediately known when the pool will reopen.
