Whole Foods in Kentlands offers a free cooking class each Thursday.

Free time is a rare gift for every busy mom. So don't let that time go to waste. Each week, we’ll tell you about to give you a much deserved break and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

Are you running out of ideas for dinner or struggling to find ways to keep family meals tasty and nutritious? Then why not use your free time this week to get a little edible inspiration.

Each week, offers a free cooking class hosted by Demo Specialist Claire. She will select fresh foods or sale items to incorporate into a menu each week, often with an emphasis on health.

Don't worry, you don't have to do any work in this class — Claire does the cooking and explains as she goes along. But you do get to enjoy the product of Claire's work. Everyone gets a free sample of everything made in the class.

In recent weeks, Claire has made wild salmon with a lemon coleslaw and tempeh and sweet potato stew.

The class is free, but you do need to register. Call the customer service desk at 301-258-9500 to reserve your spot.
