2 Severn Teens Arrested in Burglary: Police

Seven teenagers from Glen Burnie and Severn were arrested for breaking into a house, say Anne Arundel County Police.

Seven teenagers from Severn and Glen Burnie – ranging in age from 14 to 18 -- face charges for allegedly breaking into a vacant house early Monday.

Anne Arundel County Police were called about 4:39 a.m. to a burglary in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue in Glen Burnie.

A caller to 911 reported seeing several people enter a vacant residence. As officers, including a K-9, approached the house, police say three suspects fled on foot. Officers chased and caught all three suspects a short distance from the residence. The four remaining suspects were found inside the house.

All of the suspects were charged criminally with burglary, destruction of property and possession of marijuana.

One suspect was charged as an adult: Ashley Daniel Gum, 18, of the 7900 block of Allard Court in Glen Burnie,

Six juveniles were also charged in the case: a 17-year-old girl and boy, both from Glen Burnie; a 17-year-old boy from Severn; two 16-year-old boys from Glen Burnie; and a 14-year-old girl from Severn.
