2 Teen Robbery Suspects Hold Up 16-Year-Old

The 16-year-old victim fought with two suspects as he was reportedly robbed in Jessup Sunday night.

A teenager who fought with two armed robbers suffered minor injuries during the attack, say police, but eventually got his money back.

The robbery was reported about 8 p.m. Sunday in the 7800 block of Clark Road in Jessup.

The 16-year-old male victim told police he was walking to a friend’s house when two suspects appeared wearing ski masks and demanding money. The victim was struck by one suspect and a struggle ensued. The victim eventually turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspects then fled toward Milestone Parkway.

Western District officers along with an Air Unit and K-9 Officers searched the area and found the two teenage suspects near Clark Road and Milestone Parkway.

Fire Department personnel treated the victim for minor injuries.

A ski mask was found at the scene and the victim’s money was recovered from the adult suspect. Both suspects were charged with robbery, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

The adult suspect is Robert Dean Shirk, 19, of 7927 Clark Road in Jessup, while a 16-year-old male from Jessup was charged as a juvenile.
