LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD — An accidental house fire displaced five residents and their 10 dogs early Saturday morning, officials said. Investigators believe the Linthicum Heights fire started around 2:30 a.m. when a dog hit a knob on the stove. The fire caused $20,000 in damage, an incident report noted.

Several dogs were still trapped inside, however. Firefighters battled the flames while also pulling eight puppies from the fire.
