50,000 Easter Eggs Up for Grabs Sunday

An Odenton church is hosting two major Easter services and an egg hunt featuring 50,000 eggs on April 8.

invites the public to celebrate Easter with services inside the gymnasium, and expects as many as 3,500 to attend, spokeswoman Amanda Mack said. The church will also honor local members of the military and first responders.

The Easter egg hunt will feature 50,000 eggs spread out on the Arundel High School football field. There will also be activities for children including a moon bounce and face painting.

All events are free, but the church has asked the public to reserve spots for the services at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Reservations can be placed at Easterheroes.com.

The egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. and reservations are not required.
