7-Eleven Taking Shape, Set to Open Dec. 30

The new convenience store at the site of an old gas station at the traffic circle is coming along quickly. Signs are up, and crews are working on the roof and parking lot.

It's now obvious what's being built on the small lot near the traffic circle on Annapolis Road.

7-Eleven has put up the sign on the front of its new convenience store, along with marquees near the entrances on Annapolis and Odenton roads.

A company spokesman tells Patch that the store is scheduled to open on Dec. 30.

Crews appear to be working now on the main roof and facade of the building, and have constructed the entry and exit lanes as well as sidewalks. There's still work to be done in paving the parking lot.

The new store will be the second in Odenton. There's also one on Odenton Road, right near the intersection to Piney Orchard Parkway.
