Heather has done her research and along the way has come up with some very interesting information. Maryland had a task force for 3 years to investigate about therapist abuse. Here is what Heather has to say about the information she found:
"Maryland let you all to believe that this was an isolated incident. It was such a problem that Maryland had a sexual exploitation task force for three years. The last recommendation from that task force was criminalization. They even had pamphlets distributed in every state owned mental health facility. Now, legislators can you tell me I'm the only one?
Maryland doesn't need a study. We need a task force, we need pamphlets distributed in every facility and we need Lynette's Law! None of the resources for therapist abuse are active anymore because the law makers killed the bill. All of this was implemented for three years. It just doesn't exist. It died. We need to bring this back!
I want every board member who testified against LL removed! We are going to start fresh with professionals who work to protect the public and not their own."
Do you agree with Heather? Help us to fight for Lynettes Law and make them accountable this time. Don't let this bill die again.
