After Renovations, Kaufmann's is Now J. King's

The Gambrills restaurant will have a grand reopening after undergoing more than a dozen upgrades to the building and menu.

Kaufmann’s Restaurant in Gambrills has been rebranded as and has undergone a series of renovations and menu changes.

Customers to the popular restaurant will see upgrades to many parts of the building on Gambrills Road, as well as changes to the menu.

“Over the past six months we have been busy and we think you are going to love the changes,” owner James King said in an email to customers.

King outlined more than a dozen renovations, including a new roof, siding, lighting and landscaping, plus granite bar countertops and new furniture. Workers are also currently finishing up a new “atrium room.”

J. King's menu also has some new additions, including brick oven pizza. King said there is a new emphasis on larger portions and lower prices. Hard shell crabs and steaks remain a centerpiece.

King said he hoped to hold a grand reopening event in the coming weeks.
