Man Robbed By Masked Group In Odenton Moments After Stepping Outside: Police

ODENTON, MD — A group of masked individuals robbed a man Saturday, just moments after he stepped outside of an Odenton home.

Anne Arundel County Police said the incident happened on the 2600 block of Evergreen Road. Police were alerted to the incident shortly before 1:30 a.m., after initially responding to a report of a citizen robbery in the 1600 block of Riedel Road.

At the scene, a man told police that he was robbed by a group of masked men who approached him after he'd left a residence. The individual said the group consisted of between four and eight men.

The men are believed to have had a firearm in their possession, as police reported that the robbed man "felt a metallic object on his chest."

After throwing the man to the ground and taking any personal items he had at the time, the group fled the scene.
