ODENTON, MD — If you're headed to BWI Marshall Airport, make sure to mentally pack an extra bit of patience.
Access to the airport was seriously impacted Thursday after a water main break blocked off access to the terminal and rental car center.
The water main break was first reported around 7 a.m.
The Maryland State Highway Administration said roads were closed on State Route 170, between Interstate 195 and Amtrak Way.
"This is creating delays approaching both the airport terminal and rental car facility," the airport said in a post. "Rental car shuttles are operating on a detour."
BWI Marshall Airport officials said delays are stretching from the ramp of the southbound 295 lanes to eastbound 195.
