The fatal interaction occurred Sept. 3, when police responded to the 1000 block of Carroll Island Road in Middle River for a call about an armed woman wanted over an assault.

At the time, police said Holman was found inside a car and that she had handed over a knife that was in her possession. However, Haddix fired his gun after Holman produced a gun, according to authorities.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact IID officials at (410) 576-7070 or by email at IID@oag.maryland.gov.
