Arundel High School Color Guard Kicks off competitive season this weekend.

The Arundel High School Indoor Color Guard begins its competition season on Saturday, February 15 with the 18-member squad competing against other schools in the National Judges Association Tournament Indoor Association competition. 

 

The AHS Guard will compete in the Scholastic “A” Group category throughout the 2014 season, one of many categories judged in weekly competition.  Arundel is are the only Maryland high school competing at this level in Chapter 9, comprised of schools in Eastern Maryland and Delaware.

In addition, there are no Maryland-based NJA TIA competitions in the state in 2014, so Arundel will travel to Pennsylvania for most of it preliminary events. A location for the Chapter 9 championships has not been determined, and the Atlantic Coast Championship will again be staged in Wildwood, NJ.

February 15: Penncrest High School Competition, Media, Pa.

February 22: Lower Dauphin High School Competition, Hummelstown, Pa.

March 8: Field of View Competition, Ridley High School, Folsom, Pa.

March 22: Great Johnstown High School Competition, Johnstown, Pa.

April 5: Northern York High School Competition, Dillsburg, Pa.

April 12: Lampeter-Strasburg High School Competition, Lancaster, Pa.

April 26: NJA TIA Chapter 9 Championships – Site To Be Determined.

May 1-4: NJA TIA Atlantic Coast Championships, Wildwood, N.J.
