Arundel High School Marching Band Receives First Place at Reservoir High School U.S. Bands Competition

The Arundel High School Marching Band traveled to Reservoir High School in Fulton this past Saturday, October 11, to participate in its second U.S. Bands competition of the school year. Arundel’s show is entitled “The Heist” and was designed by Arundel High School Band Director Ian Burns.
Arundel took first place in Group II Open with a score of 86.8 – the highest score of any of the bands competing. Arundel was also awarded caption awards Best Music, Best Visual and Best Overall Effect.
Mr. Burns is justifiably proud of his marching band, stating “the Arundel Marching Band students are a privilege to work with; their amazing success this year is driven by their pride and dedication to excellence week after week. I am so proud of their work and am excited for the rest of the season!”
